Patient Experience Lead

At Durham Family Dental, we are a modern, forward-thinking practice focused on delivering high-quality, life-changing dentistry in a refined and professional setting.

From implants and Invisalign to smile makeovers, oral surgery and therapy-led care — everything we do is centred around precision, quality, and patient experience.

We’re now looking for a Patient Experience Lead — someone who will take ownership of the patient journey, support and elevate the team, and help us continue raising standards

  • This is a key role within the practice, combining leadership, organisation, and clinical support. You will shape the patient journey from first contact through to treatment completion.

    • Oversee and support the front-of-house team

    • Ensure a seamless, professional, and welcoming patient journey

    • Continuously improving systems and processes

    • Take full ownership of the practice diary

    • Balance efficiency with high-quality care

    • Ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day

    • Manage enquiries and follow-ups professionally

    • Build strong patient relationships

    • Guide patients clearly through their journey

    • Support consultations and treatment planning

    • Clearly present options and fees

    • Support trainee TCOs

    • Provide chairside assistance

    • Maintain HTM 01-05 infection control standards

    • Ensure patient comfort and safety

    • Work in line with GDC and CQC standards

    • Support audits and governance

    • Maintain accurate documentation

  • Location: Low Fell, Gateshead

  • Salary: Competitive (based on experience) £25,593.75 per annum

  • Hours: 31.25 hours, flexible for the right candidate

What We’re Looking For

  • GDC-registered Dental Nurse

  • Experience in patient-facing or TCO role

  • Confident communicator

  • Highly organised and detail-focused

  • Leadership experience or ambition

  • Commitment to high-quality patient care
